Thank you for the comment! I've actually been looking for feedback on this as I'm not familiar with it as an American.
What is the proper increment? Full meters? Half meters? 1/10 meters? If you have a ~4 foot putt, would you generally track it as a 1m putt, a 1.3m putt, a 1.5m putt?
Good question... Since I don't actually measure each putt but estimate it based on visual (and memory if I do it on the next tee or after the round), I can't exactly tell if a putt is 6 meters (20 feet) or 6,5 meters. The shorter the putt is the more precise I can estimate, so my suggestion would be to go with something like: 0-1 meter in 0,25 m increments; 1-5 meters in 0,50 m increments; more than 5 meters in 1 meter increments. E.g.:
0.25m 0.50m, 0.75m 1.00m
1.50m 2.00m 2.50m 3.00m 3.50m 4.00m 4.50m 5.00 m
6.00m 7.00m 8.00m 9.00m etc.
But basically you can use whatever increments - as long as I don't have to do the meter to feet estimation myself :D
